Wonderful early primitive folk art beaver weathervane mounted on a later custom display base. This charming handcrafted piece features a stylized beaver silhouette cut from wood with beautifully visible grain and aged surface texture, mounted to an iron rod and pyramidal base for display. The simple form and strong silhouette give this piece excellent rustic character, evoking early Canadian folk art and countryside craftsmanship. A fantastic decorative object for cabin decor, lodge interiors, primitive collections, or Canadiana displays. The newer base complements the original vane nicely while allowing for stable tabletop presentation.
