The two "With Flame" obelisks were designed by famous artist and designer Fulvio Bianconi in the 1950s. They are made of Murano glass and produced by Venini. The flames are given by milky glass inserts. The two objects have cylindrical bases, on which they rest. That of the obelisk has been a form repurposed throughout the ages that has ancient origins, specifically in Ancient Egypt. It can be found in many important squares in Italy and Europe: a prominent example is the Vatican Obelisk in St. Peter's Square in Rome. Here it can be seen interpreted in a modern key.The two obelisks are not just objects of decoration but important pieces of design conceived by a great artist.
