This is a Diaphanoscope consisting of a cold light fluorescent source and a frosted opaque panel that has the function of making uniform illumination of the plane. Since the dimensions of the radiogram may be smaller than those of the screen and therefore the free light may disturb the vision, special masks are available to avoid this possibility. By convention, the side radiographs are positioned so that the head faces to the left. It can be fixed or portable.
