An original table lamp from the mid-century modern period, manufactured in Europe between 1955 and 1965. The design is in the spirit of Scandinavian and continental modernism – clean form, functionality, and high quality workmanship. The lamp has a bent brass arm mounted on a sculptural, organic black base. The metal shade is olive-champagne in color, with ventilation perforations at the top to allow heat to escape. The proportions and details are characteristic of the design of the 1950s and early 1960s. Anonymous design – typical of high-end functional production of that period.
