This was sewing table owned by my late grandmother-in-law. She was an avid sewer and took care of everything in a gentle way. The table reflects that, it is in very good condition. I love the different kinds of wood in this piece, particularly the burled walnut on the front drawer, that same wood decoration follows around the table. I'm not sure of the woods on the piece, but they are interesting, especially the wood on the bottom round piece. The trim around the piece is all beveled. The bottom stretcher is decorated with three turned finials, the largest in the center. This cabinet has two drawers, a main drawer constructed w/hand cut dovetail joinery and below a belly drawer offering additional storage.
