A magnificent Art Deco burr walnut pedestal desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1920-30’s. The quality is outstanding, this is a large and impressive size. There are beautiful burr walnut grain patterns on the top and drawer fronts, the top edges are also cross banded. There is an inset leather writing surface in the centre of the top, this is beautifully finished on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item. The stainless steel handles are also beautifully crafted, they contrast nicely with the walnut. We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout for its age.
