A smart and extremely well made antique Georgian style pedestal desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s. It is of very fine quality and has a superb design, with an inverted breakfront shaped front and back. The fronts and sides are panelled with carved rosettes at the corners, the top also has lovely carving around the edges. The inset leather writing surface has gold tooled edges, the drawers have fine quality brass handles and lots of storage space within, with double depth drawers at the bottom on both sides. The back is nicely finished, so this can be used as free standing item. We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
