On offer is an antique American Renaissance Revival library or writing table, typically dated to the 1890s. Hand-crafted of solid quarter-sawn oak, this piece has a single drawer for storage below the scrollwork-bordered top. The decorative theme here is “North Wind”—a popular motif of the era—carved into the leg tops and on all four of the apron’s sides. Thus the table can sit handsomely in the center of a room. Barley twist legs and an H-stretcher base set atop bun feet complete the period style. Maker’s mark: nonexistent. Leg clearance: 29.5”
