This is a high-quality vintage flame mahogany twin pedestal desk, dating from the mid-20th century the rectangular top is fitted with the original inset gold tooled tan leather writing surface. It has an arrangement of three drawers in the frieze over a pair of pedestals each with three graduated drawers. The desk is fitted with the original wooden knob handles and it stands on plinth bases. The drawer linings and sides are all made from solid mahogany. The botanical name for the mahogany that this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation and does not contain any restricted materials.
