Göran Malmvall 1917 - 2001 Göran Malmvall was the son of Karl Andersson, who founded the well-known furniture company Karl Andersson & Söner in 1898. Göran grew up in an environment surrounded by craftsmanship and design, which profoundly influenced his career. He starts his professional career by collaborating with several nota- ble Swedish furniture manufacturers in 1970. His innovative designs gain recognition for their simplicity and functionality, aligning with Scandinavian design principles. In 1980, Malmvall works with Karl Andersson & Söner, where he contributes to developing iconic furni- ture pieces that reflect his design philosophy. His work is showcased in design exhibitions and publications, further solidifying his status as a key figure in the industry. Malm- vall continues to refine his design style, creating versatile seating solutions, tables, and storage units characterized by clean lines and thoughtful construction.
