The Muecke Wood Chair evolved from his desire to celebrate all characteristics of wood, including the end grain. He succeeded by rounding wood into dowels and devising a joinery method to connect them where they overlap. “You can understand the piece of wood,” he says. “It's not disguised. It's there for you to understand again and again.”
