Adrian Pearsall For Craft Associates 'Compass' Dining Table In Walnut, 1960s

Chairish

$4,600

A striking example of Adrian Pearsall’s sculptural design language, this 'Compass' dining table was produced by Craft Associates in the 1960s. The solid walnut base features Pearsall’s signature biomorphic lines and bold architectural presence, with angled legs that intersect at the center to form a dynamic star-like structure. The frame has been professionally refinished and is presented in excellent condition, highlighting the natural depth and richness of the walnut. A round glass top (48" diameter) is included, though optional, buyers may choose to replace it if desired. The glass shows age and surface wear consistent with use but remains functional. This design, also known as the 'Ribbon' table, exemplifies mid-century modern ideals: organic form, fine craftsmanship, and a balance of strength and elegance. The 'Compass' base is one of Pearsall’s most sought-after table designs, pairing effortlessly with his dining chairs or complementing a wide range of modernist seating. Excellent use for a dining table but also a perfect option as a center table, game table, cafe table, breakfast nook table, meeting table, conference table, work table and more.
