Chained Up Miami Dining Table by Barberini & GunnellLimited Edition of 6Dimensions: D 120 x W 320 x H 76 cm.Materials: Calacatta marble, mirror polished stainless steel.The inspiration for this table came from observing the gigantic iron chains that are used for tying up enormous container ships or transatlantic cruisers.Spending hours at the port of Ancona we were intrigued by finding a way to build a table structure in the shape of a chain, every bangle connected to the other. Closing the chain, yet achieving a stable structure while at the same time not losing the esthetic beauty of the finished artwork was the challenge this table had up for us.The sculptural dining table ‘Chained Up Miami’ was presented by the Ammann Gallery during ArtBasel Design/Miami 2016.Limited Edition, signed and numbered by the artists, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.Barberini & Gunnell, founded in 2009 in Ancona, Italy by architects Francesco Barberini and Nina A.
