Elegant Italian display cabinet of high cabinetmaking, made between 1870 and 1890, in a refined transitional style between the late Neoclassical and the first floral Art Nouveau influences. The cabinet has a solid walnut structure, embellished with walnut root veneers and polychrome floral inlays along the upper and lower band. The front doors and sides are equipped with original curved glass, finely engraved with plant motifs, a typical workmanship of the high-level artisan workshops of the second half of the nineteenth century. The work is completed by the presence of gilded bronze friezes, applied to the corners and bases of the columns, valuable details that enhance the elegance of the furniture. The turned pin feet and the sinuous shape of the structure accentuate its harmony.
