Elegant form and beautiful mahogany with exceptional functionality. English Chippendale chest on chest circa 1750 to 1800. Fine old condition in great patina and wood color, ready for the bedroom or large dining room. The complex molded cornice is carefully joined atop the carved fluted chamfered corner column. All drawers are cockbeaded and fitted with the original or antique beaded rosette brasses. In two separate cases these chests rest on tall carved ogee bracket feet. Note, we have another chest on chest which would match up with this to form a companion pair.
