Handsome American Federal period chest-on-chest (two-part tall chest of drawers) with reeded corner pilasters, graduated drawers, and shaped bracket feet. Strong early construction throughout, including through-dovetailed drawers, single-board chamfered drawer bottoms secured with nails along the back edge, and cut nails to the case—details consistent with late 18th/early 19th century workmanship. Warm, fine-grained primary wood consistent with cherry (secondary wood typical softwood/pine). Brass pulls/escutcheons are later replacements, but the piece retains excellent period form and construction. 77.75” H × 42.75” W × 22.5” D
