18th century mahogany chest on chest from England. There is a dentil molding, over an arched cove molding. This chest is of exceptional quality. The sides are made from mahogany as well as the front, which is unusual. A lot of cabinet makers would use less expensive wood on the sides to cut costs, and this was not the case with this chest. There are two over six drawers, with a slide being at the top of the lower chest. The case is raised on gorgeously shaped bracket feet. This is truly one of the finest chests we have had the pleasure to offer.
