This is a rather unique French Louis-Philippe period chest of drawers. The core construction of this piece is oak and cherry, while the beautiful birds-eye maple veneer creates an almost contemporary look to this antique chest. The drawers are made of solid oak wood with tongue and groove construction. See photos. The white marble top has some chips on the edge, both along the front and side….and there is a small grey spot.. One particularity is that one side of the chest is fruitwood while the other side is birds-eye maple. This is common in antique furniture. See photos.
