A pair of Lombard neoclassical chests of drawers. Crafted from walnut and fir, they feature three drawers on the front, one set into the lower shelf band, and two larger drawers without visible hardware. They are completely veneered in rosewood with rosewood borders, maple trim, and inlays of various woods. The lower shelf band features an inlaid motif featuring a string of beads with cameos supported by galls holding flower baskets. The front and side panels feature a rosette with inlaid folk figures, the tops feature a rosette with a panoply of music, and the uprights, ending in truncated pyramidal feet, feature inlaid candelabras with stucco backings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
