This beautiful oval table was custom-made in the 1960s by a world-renowned Venetian cabinetmaker for an important Venetian palace. When closed, it measures approximately 180 cm, but extensions of approximately 50 cm each can be added, as shown in the photo, to reach a length of approximately 370 cm. Thus, the table seats 6-8 people, gradually increasing to 14-16. Note that the basket-shaped base never obstructs the table's legs. The side legs are retractable and are only used when the table is very large.
