Late 19th century elm Sutherland table from England. Sutherland tables are wonderful tables to tuck away when not in use because of their narrow depth. This table is a particularly nice example due to it being made from elm, which has extraordinary graining. The top is supported on a base with hand turned trestle legs, joined by a similar turned stretcher. The table has two gate legs, which swing out to support the leaves. The top, when open, measures 29.13 inches in diameter.
