A very large expandable rosewood dining table by Skovby, made in Denmark c. 1970s and newly refinished. The surface features beautifully segmented grain patterns and soft, rounded edges. The solid rosewood legs taper subtly, complimenting the soft lines seen elsewhere in the design. With a maximum wingspan of 126”, it is the largest Danish-made draw leaf we have encountered. In its expanded form the table comfortably accommodates 12 guests. The leaves stow neatly under the main dining surface when not in use and can be drawn out by one person in a few seconds. A perfect combination of form and function in excellent refinished condition, this table is ready for another generation of use.
