100% handcrafted stool, with leather top, bronze ferrules and inverted lion paws, inspired by Ancient Greek Stools (Diphros) from the Classical & Hellenistic eras. Stools (Diphros) of this design have been depicted in carving and drawings of that era found all over the Mediterranean coasts, including Delphi, where we see the god Apollo seating on a lion-pawed diphros, as shown in the pictures above. Handcrafted in Athens, Greece by Pardalis Epipla, using tools and technics equivalent to those of Ancient Greeks, as well as top quality Greek walnut and kept in excellent condition.
