The Gibbings Diphros Okladias folding stool designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings was inspired by ancient Greek furniture. The diphros stool features simple, elegant lines, X-shaped brass legs, a brass stretcher, and brass studs that attach the leather seat to the wood frame. It’s a perfect example of Gibbings' love for classical antiquity combined with modern design sensibilities. The leather top has beautiful patina and has softened with a slight dip in the center, which shows its use over the years. The stool is versatile and can be used as a small bench, side table, or decorative accent in living spaces. The bench was acquired from the original owner's estate on Chicago's North Shore. This is the largest stool/bench that I've seen online. The others have been 22," which makes this extra special and collectible.
