Great lounge chair + ottoman, attributed to the French artist and designer Francis Jourdain (1876-1958), France 1920s. The set is made of solid pear wood with a woven cane seat and backrest. The chair can recline into various positions; lifting the front of the seat enables both backrest and seat to adapt the position. The set is in good original condition. The caning has no damages. The wood has a nice patina, the left armrest is a bit lighter due to sunlight. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
