1940's Thonet bentwood lounge chair. The chair features bentwood arms and legs in black lacquer (the arms and legs are in original condition with some imperfections and loss - see close up images). The chair is heavy; solidly constructed and super comfortable. Originally purchased for the lobby of a hotel in the 40's. We can see why they were used for high traffic areas. They can stand up decades of use and still look timeless. We have 10 of these chairs available in the original vinyl upholstery. They would be great in a boutique hotel or the lobby of a corporation. They smell musty from years in storage so they would benefit from reupholstery. They'd look amazing in a nubby wool fabric, a dreamy mohair or even a fresh faux leather. Perfect durable chair for a commercial setting. We reupholstered one is a performance fabric and it looks amazing.
