An elegant pair of "candidate" armchairs designed by ibkofod-larsen and crafted from solid afrormosia (african teak) for olof perssons fatöljindustri (o.p.e.) in sweden, circa 1960s. Danish designer ibkofod-larsen is a leading figure in scandinavian modernism and achieved success collaborating with manufacturers such as o.p.e. the armchairs are in very good condition, never restored: they retain the original cushion upholstery, with some slight visible stains on the fabric. The afrormosia frames are solid, with a uniform patina. They exhibit some marks, including rare, barely visible dents, attributable to age and use. These marks are indicative of their originality. A quick and inexpensive polish can be used to remove them. the measurements indicated in the product details refer exclusively to the wooden frame and do not include the thickness of the cushions. Ideal for collectors of vintage nordic design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
