This lounge chair, ‘P40’, was designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1955 for Tecno, Italy. This item is an early model and without a doubt an icon of 1950’s Italian design. The back can be reclined in different angles, the flexible rubber arm rests can be folded away and the chair features a flip-out leg rest with extendable metal footrest. The brass details and red Tecno logo are present on both sides of the chair. The chair has been reupholstered in kvadrat tecno red fabric. In good condition, with some wear on the armrests, as shown in the pictures. 1st Edition This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
