Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist was assigned to the Triva department at Nordiska Kompaniet to create furniture for young, modern households. She created the Paradise-collection, with its biblical theme all designs were given names as Eve, Adam, Paradise/Eden etc. This Large/Stora Adam was designed in 1958 for NK department store in Stockholm. This chair holds a soft simplicity and comfort, true to Hörlin-Holmquist view of functional design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
