Late 19th-century French provincial painted loveseat or settee made in the style of Louis XV, from Provence, France. Beautifully hand-crafted from solid wood featuring a hand-molded oval-shaped back finished in a pastel blue lacquer with dull sienna paint around the moldings and edge of the frame. The paint showcases a naturally aged patina with some distressed areas. The loveseat is upholstered in tufted floral fabric and clean-finished with lace trim. Supported on graceful cabriole legs ending in scrolled French toes.
