This Antique Ca. 1880 Victorian Era Letter/Stationary/Mail organizer is known as a "SCRIBE's DESK". Filled with spaces and cubbies for 2 inkells, a place for your writing instrument, with a hiding space below. The Compartments are made of sizes used for envelopes, note paper, stationary, and perhaps billing paper. The strings are used to attach notes or cards, with a drawer to keep perhaps stamps, or spectacles. There is 1 divider missing, and a chip on the bottom of 1 of the ink wells, that does not interfere with holding ink. Photo's show. Functional Historic Desktop Desk
