A 19th century French Charles X Period side table or nightstand, made of veneer of bird's-eye maple over solid oak accented with elegant mahogany trim. The style is typical of the Charles X period which emphasizes clean geometric lines, blocky proportions, and smooth, richly figured light wood veneers. Attached white marble top above a single dovetailed drawer and cabinet door opening to an interior with two shelves. Turned wood feet with brass castors. Marble has a repair to one of the corners.
