Large oak bedside table, 1960s. It belongs to the post-war neo-rustic movement that modernized French craftsmanship: solid oak, clean lines, and carved decoration. The "target" motif door, the molded/guilloché uprights, and the mixed base (ball feet at the front, saber feet at the back) are reminiscent, in spirit, of the creations of Charles Dudouyt and the warm modernism of Guillerme & Chambron. Practical, it offers a drawer in the frieze and a niche closed by a door with a brass knob. Beautiful brown patina, generous proportions: perfect as a bedside table or as an accent piece in the living room/entrance hall.
