This desk chair / swivel chair no. 5501 features of a brown wooden frame with a rattan seat and backrest. The design dates from 1866 and is by Thonet. The chair was shown at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889. This example dates from the 60s/70s. The seat is adjustable in height, from approx. 45 to approx. 55 cm. In good condition, both wood and rattan. Marked with paper label Thonet. This chair was produced by ZPM Radomsko, a former Thonet factory in Poland that was nationalized after WWII (hence the paper label "Thonet" under the seat). This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
