One of two extremly rare sputnik or atomic light fixtures "RS 16 HL" by J.T. Kalmar, manufactured in Mid-Century, circa 1970 (at the end of 1960s and beginning of 1970s). Only a small number of these huge pieces were produced. They are made of a very lightweight anodized aluminium frame with a finish similar to satin brass or a matte gold tone. The hand blown globe shaped bubble glass lamp shades have a diameter of 4.7 inch (12 cm). Each chandelier takes 16 small Edison screw base bulbs type E14 with max. 40 W per bulb. It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity. They can be used as pendant or flush mount lights:The lights hang on wire ropes. Therefore the total drop can be adjusted in any length. They also can be mounted very close to the ceiling to work as flush mount chandelier. There are two pieces available. They are sold individually or as pair.Measures: The height of the body without ropes is 27.6 inch (70 cm). The total drop including the ropes is currently approx. 49 in. (125 cm) but can be customized to any length.
