1979 Led Pendant

1979 LED Pendant from Darmes finds purity in simplicity, using a modular housing with a grid pattern to add architectural expressiveness to inside ceilings. Part of a design collaboration between Darmes and Montreal designer Will Choui, it evokes the Brutalist and Modernist designs of late 1970s Montreal, forging a captivating pattern that puts functionality front and center. Four slim cables suspend the square, modular aluminum housing that holds energy-efficient LEDs, contrasting sharply delineated inner zones with rounded curves at all four corners as it casts a segmented wash of direct downlight below.
