The "Aurora" pendant light for Arteluce, a division of Flos, was designed in 1980 by Perry King and Santiago Miranda. The Aurora provides direct and diffused light with three 50-watt halogen bulbs from a suspended disk made of a pair of textured glass plates sandwiching a blue carbon filter disk. The dark purple domed ceiling cap houses a transformer. The dark purple suspension wires are adjustable for length. The interior of the light cups is purple.
