A beautiful counterweight pendant lamp from circa 1900. Originating in austria, in the k and k monarchy, it has a patent dating from the industrial revolution. The lamp is made up of two pieces of porcelain, the upper piece attaches to the ceiling while the counter weight hangs below on a new textile covered cable. The mechanical wheels are in very good condition. There is a small chip in the upper element but does not interfere with the installation. The glass shade is handmade. up to 250v (europe/uk standard).the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
