For sale is a rare pair of antique cast iron planters. Each planter is composed of 6 cast iron pieces. Three pieces form the bowl. One piece is the multitiered plinth. The two remaining pieces are a pair of large opposing cast iron arms. All of the arms have their two pins intact for attaching to and positioning on the assembled bowl. Each assembled planter on its plinth stands 42 1/2 inches tall to the top of the arm. Each assembled planter on its planth stands 33.3/8 inches tall to the top of the bowl. The bowl is 27 1/4 inches in diameter. The bottom of the plinth is 23 5/8 inches long across each face. Each plinth stands 11 inches tall. The planters have a most wonderful white chipped paint exterior that reflects their age and gives them their unique character.
