Original Charles and Ray Eames rocking chair in parchment. Vintage fibreglass shell on replacement black powder coated base with solid walnut wood runners (we also have zinc bases and oak/birch runners if you would prefer). Or dowel/Eiffel, H base/cats craddle/stacking in variuos finishes. This is an early production chair with the three triangles embossed on the underside and date stamped Dec 1959. The contemporary version of this chair is made of polypropylene, which in our opinion, is not a patch on these original fibreglass models, which age really well. In fair vintage condition. The shockmounts are in good condition. Some minor scuffs and discolouration here and there on the shell and a small cosmetic crack on the front edge.
