Early RKR-1 wire rocking chair by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, produced between 1951 and 1956. Original one-piece leather cover with beautiful aged patina. Black wire structure in original finish, no repairs. Original rod rocking base with birch runners. Paper Herman Miller label to underside (Venice, California). A rare early example of one of the most iconic mid-century modern rocking chairs. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
