A “shelving tower” as Joe Colombo himself called it, a “rational, functional and functioning” object. The iconic Boby, featured in the MoMA permanent collection in New York and the “Triennale” in Milan, was put back into production by the Padua-based company B-Line in 1999.Designed in 1970 by Joe Colombo as a dynamic complementary service piece that can adapt over time, the trolley fits in amazingly well with today’s paradigms of contemporary work, home/office requirements and cultural and social nomadism. The ABS plastic structure featuring drawer and shelving modules is mounted on 5 swivel casters and offers 4 different height solutions with various configurations, giving a total of 14 possible models. Also available are two new color variants Confetti, a light variant on a white background reminiscent of a shower of confetti, and Volcano, with a dark blue background featuring glowing red lava lapilli.
