This beautiful large Chinese Coromandel screen depicts women living their daily lives in an imperial Chinese courtyard during ancient times. Each panel is intricately incised and painted and lacquered with natural color pigments over a dramatic black ground. At the bottom of each panel are paintings of pottery and objects used at that time. The screen is supported by square legs and ends with brass capped feet.
