A beautiful early 20th century Central Asian Khotan rug with a rich crimson field of pomegranate, trees-of-life, and floral patterns. The border is wonderfully rendered consisting of a Buddhist meandering motif pattern and a turbulent cloud motif, woven in complementary orange, yellow and brown colors.
