A beautiful bronze sculpture after jules moignez (1835-1894), depicting a setter dog with game, cast using the lost-wax method by the lauragaise bronze foundry. It bears the signature and three hallmarks: cire perdu bronze (lost-cast bronze), fbl (the foundry's mark), and reproduction. please note that one of the dog's legs is missing, and the other leg is cracked (see photos). founded in 1979, the lauragaise bronze foundry is one of the last in france to perpetuate the tradition of high-end lost-wax art casting. the foundry holds the entreprise du patrimoine vivant (epv) label, a state-recognized mark of excellence awarded to french companies with outstanding artisanal and industrial expertise. This piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
