Electric Blue Panther Sculpture

Part of a striking series of sculptures depicting panthers, this decorative object is entirely handcrafted by Daniele Nannini using white clay containing kaoline. After an initial partial drying stage, the artist hollows out out the piece to achieve a 1 cm-thickness and sands it for a smooth surface. Following the firing in the kiln, the object gets painted, in this case with an electric blue, washable latex paint.
