This large pair of antique putti sculptures were crafted in Italy, circa 1760. A putto (plurial putti), is a figure in a work of art that's a chubby, male child usually naked and sometimes winged. A putto is often called a cherub, or a cherubic infant. Both of the Classic figures are hand-carved and feature their original paint finish. These wooden sculptures could be affixed to a wall to add dimension and a conversation starter to a living or dining room. Good overall condition. Measures: 20.5" W x 7.5" D x 34" H.
