$650

Two Parian Ware William Shakespeare Sculptures, circa 19th century, one figure standing beside an ivy-covered tree stump and with impressed "13/31" and maker's marks to underside, and one leaning on a stack of books atop a pedestal, with impressed "B" to underside. Larger: 17.5" H x 10" W x 5.5" D. Provenance: From an Upper West Side estate located at the Ansonia. It was named by Minton, a prominent pottery manufacturer, to evoke Paros, the Greek island known for its marble.
