Nine mysteriously downward-radiating, reed-like rods evoke a morning or evening atmosphere in the forest and create a striking focal point in the room. Unlit, the object, with its raw surface, is an impressive sculpture. Surface finishes can be selected from reddish-brown to almost black – please specify your preference when ordering. Early Light – The Early Light Editions and Unique Pieces These works were inspired by "early light" – the flat backlighting with its silhouette-like illumination and translucency of the objects in the foreground. from faint, shadowy slits of light, sharp contours emerge as the day progresses – in the case of the objects, through the rotation of the individual rods, thorns, etc. Light, backlighting, and shadows alter form, shape, and mood. Each sculpture is handmade, signed, and numbered. The surfaces are also finished by hand, resulting in slight variations in texture, appearance, and color nuances, even in editions. The light sources – LEDs of various types – can be replaced in all sculptures. The LEDs have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours (compared to an incandescent bulb: 1,000 hours). The sculptures are generally equipped with dimmer switches as on/off switches only. A standard cord switch can be added upon request. However, we recommend using wireless sockets, as this allows you to maintain your preferred lighting mood without having to use the rather unsightly, standard cord switches.
