Fine Federal style secretary desk, late 19th century, mahogany with exquisite graining patterns, two full length drawers, fold out desk top, tambour sliding doors revealing drawers and letter compartments, marquetry inlays including an oval medallion on the front, tapered legs with formed metal caps over the feet, all a unified single piece, wood back with the number 357 written in black, maker unknown 35 3/4" wide, 18 1/4" deep, 43 1/2" tall, sturdy original condition with superficial scuffs from age, a small veneer chip in top right front corner and light veneer loss on the lower right side, not bad for 150 years of life
